Just to let you know, I started eighteen months ago in Eve with the -{AA}=- Corp. However, by the end of last year there were very few -={AA}=- members still active in Eve so I left our Corp to join the Confederation of Independent Corporations. Then two months ago I set up a new corp called Intellegent Concepts Inc with Exlore (a fellow ex -={AA}=- Corp member). Exlore is the CEO of ICI and this is now my home Corp. We are currently accepting new members and are interested in all aspects of the game,:missions, pvp, mining and industry.
At the moment we are in the process of forming an alliance with other Corps to further our interests in new developments in the game such as wormhole space. This will make sense to you once you start playing.
BJ is CEO of the -={AA}=- Corp in Eve.
Which ever Corp you end up joining, I would be happy to help you get started. Perhaps the best thing would be to download the game and play the free fourteen day trial to see if you like it.
However, before playing the game I would also suggest you read up on the background info for the game on the Eve website. Also take a look at the Eve insider forums.
You need to do this because as you log on for the first time to play the game you will be required to create your ingame character. There are four races, the two most popular being Caldari And Amarr. BJ is Caldari and my ingame charater (PilotFelixKat) is Amarr. If you opt not join the 'Faction War' aspect of the game, it willl make no difference to us which race you pick as we can still all fly together and be members of the same Corp.
You will also need to decide what career path you wish to follow. Whilst in theory it is possible to train for all skills, it is usual to decide either on a military, mining or industrial/ trading career. This choice will influence the race and characteristics of the ingame character you end up creating. I think most of us have opted for the military career for the main character or 'Alt'.
It is a massive game and we are all still learning.
