Today, I received the following letter in my e-mail inbox from Canal JeuxVideo France.
We work in the downloading service for the French company Canal Jeux Vidéo, sister company of Future France SAS, belonging to the group WM7 (hereafter the “Group”).
We offer various services to our online customers/visitors including the possibility to download IT resources(programs, program extensions, drivers…), multimedia elements (screen wallpaper, artwork, videos, other graphic elements…) and type fonts, these elements being in the form of either freeware, shareware, evaluation products and complete products, in the fields of video games or new technology.
In addition, we publish several video games and computing magazines in French such as but not limited to : Windows News, Windows XP Magazine, Windows Vista Magazine, Micro Actuel, PC Achat, Internet Pratique, Computer Arts, PC Jeux,Jeux Vidéo Magazine, PlayStation Magazine, PSM3, Consoles +, Joystick, Kid Paddle, XBOX 360 Magazine, Nintendo Magazine,Joypad, T3, Download Magazine and Fiches Pratiques.
Being in charge of collecting and testing software for the websites of our Group and for our covermounts (such as CD-ROMS, DVD-ROMS, UMDS…). We would like to have your permission to include it on our websites, with a link accessible from the websites of the Group, or with a link accessible from your website or with a link accessible from a third party website. We would like also to have your permission to include it in our next free covermounts provided with one or more of our magazines.

- Authorize the Group to provide its customers with a link to download the undermentioned products, accessible from the websites of the Group, or from our website or a third party website;
- Authorise the Group to include and distribute the undermentioned products on the digital covermounts which accompany as covermounts one or more of our magazines;
- Authorise the Group to mention in its communications the name of the product(s) and its author(s);
- Declare and guarantee that I’m authorised to contract this permission and to confer the rights of distribution and communication and that the abovementioned company which I represent owns all the intellectual property rights relating to the product(s).
This authorisation is given for an unlimited period and for all countries of the world.
