Hello guys!!!
Another day, another review, another movie to go under my eye, which I have seen recently - the movie is "Ghost Rider" starring Nicolas Cage, a comic-book adaptation from Marvel - well-known source for a whole bunch of movies dedicated to superheroes and theis arch villains...
This movie was no exception, again we have the standard "good vs evil" story, the main character and his world, and the enemy with his gang wandering around and sucking life out of anything which moves around... After first 20 minutes where the story gets somehow qiuck, displaying the young Johnny Blaze and his father as a motorbike duo performing daring jumps and tricks in front of a hungry for a good show, and the relation between Johnny and his childhood girl, which was left behind due to the deal with the devil himself, made by our character in one rainy night... Fast sorward couple of years ahead where we find Johnny Blaze doing his outrageous stunts (more daring than those of Jackie Chan :) in front of ever hungry for show public, when his life suddenly takes a bit of a twist when the devil shows up asking Johnny to fulfil his obligations to the contract made before - to give his soul to the devil...
Next we are being witness to some graphical wonders, but nothing out of the ordinary, when our guy is fighting the bad ones (including the devils son) using a flaming chain and riding a bike out of hell... Up to the grand finale we are developing a certain attraction to the character of Nicolas Cage presented as a daring and fear-free man fighting his own demons also... Effects are great at some parts, but i would prefer a more addition to the plot and atmosphere than to watch most of the time expensive effects and views... maybe I'm getting a bit too capricious or a bit old, but my movie taste has been refining itself over the years and now I have become more critical towards such "grand" pictures... Although the movie is quite entertaining and nice looking, if you are seeking something original and more involving, you are better off with something different... that's all for me.... Over and out... Peace :)
