Hello all...A lots of movies were seen during the weekend, but one of them had attract my attention with enough complicated plot, slick action choreography, and nicely developed characters (not a perfect one, but good enough). The story is about the last prince of a dying dynasty, which has been in exile for 17 years or so and the elders of this dynasty have sent a female warrior to bring him back to the throne, so he could lead an army against an opressors which have taken their home land. On the other side (the bad guys) - two clan groups called "The Blades" and "The Golden Bow" are trying to apprehend the exiled prince and kill him, using their own skillful warriors led by a vicious Commander and his right hand - a beautiful girl devoted to his cause. Eager to get him before the prince could join his army and lead them to victory the bad guys were using their vast arsenal of martial arts and weaponry to eliminate all possible resistance, but found themselves that it would be impossible to beat female warrior sent to protect the prince with her extraordinary sword skills, hence the name of the movie "Shadowless sword". After a numerous battles (all of them equally impressive with elaborate and skillful use of wires and martial arts choreography) the good prevailed, but at a great cost. The prince became a king and all ends well a bit patriotic, but well...My verdict is - a well crafted story involving martial arts and bit of drama in it, much better than Chen Kaige's "The Promise"...

P.S. I've seen "Poseidon" too - nothing out of the ordinary with this new film by Wolfgang Petersen (the master of disaster movies), but you're better off to see again "The Perfect Storm"...

All the best from The Grim reaper (BG)
