Hey everyone, I'm trying to get the Bjust mod on my server and once i open the file it says that Windows cannot open the file becasuse it needs to know what created it. (.iwd) I dont know what to DO!!!!!!:vampire:

I don't know which ones to download..their are quite a bit of WinRAR's.

For some reason it wont read the .iwd files that the mod has..........

Go to the downloads section of that site (http://rarlabs.com/download.htm) and scroll down. You will see English WinRAR and RAR release and directly underneath it, it says: WinRAR 3.51.
But a question for you, why do you have to open the .iwd file?

Hello,
I'm new here, is there a way to install this mod with MAC OSX?
I've been trying to make this mod work with my limited knowledge of mods

as far as I know all that is needed is to put the file sin your main folder in of the SERVER, adjust your config a sdiscribed somewhere in this forum and reboot the server.

ps: if a mac runs the same files as the pc, meaning iwd files then I guess it should be ok.

yes the mac is running the same files as the pc.
So what i should do is put zzz_svr_BJustReal.iwd and the .cfg that i made in the main directory. then exec the .cfg?
How will I know when the mod is working?

you should see a logo on the lower right.
Also if the client works you should have no red dits, and the ammo and healt indicator on the lower right should be nicely alligned.

Thanks Tikkas, But I only got it to work on custom maps, I get "script compile error" when loading stock maps.
BTW: when changing cvar values, 1=ON and 0=OFF right?

And yes, cvar on "0" is off and cvar on "1" is on.

how do i see the details of the "script compile error" when i get this error it says "see console for details" but when i press ~ nothing is there? is there an error log somewhere?

Before you start the server, type developer 1 in the console. If that is not possible, put it somewhere in your config file. This enables developer mode so the console will show you all the details if you get an error message.

Also, forgive me for my ignorance but where is my config file? the only .cfg that is in my "main" dir is the one with the bjustreal cvars. i put "developer 1" there and still the same

I am sorry, but did you type it with a "/" in front? Like /developer 1, otherwise it does not work.
The config file is usually in your main folder. In this file, your server name is specified as well as everything else about your server. Try putting set developer 1 somewhere in it.

But this happens only on stock maps, no problems with custom maps

You have to update your CoD to version 1.3.
The reason why you only get this error on stock maps is because stock maps use killtriggers since patch 1.2. The script file from a stock map tries to call a function in the maps/mp/gametypes/_killtriggers.gsc file. Since that file is not there, the server will crash.
The reason why custom maps work, is that they do not use killtriggers, so they do not need to use the file.
This is not a BJR error, you just have to update both your own and your server's CoD2 to 1.3 and everything will be solved.

Ok. the patch is not yet available for the MAC version, but i read that it will skip 1.2 and go straight to 1.3. thanks for all your help.
