Hello all,
I'm starting a new review here, and it won't be another martial art film and the name is "V for Vendetta" starring Hugo Weaving (agent Smith from the Matrix trilogy, Elrond from Lord of the rings trilogy) and Natalie Portman (Queen Amidala from Star Wars ep. I-III) in a curious mixture between Batman series (because it is based on a comic book from Alan Moore) the utopia "1984" by G.Oruel and the creative image and visual adaptation of the Wachowski brothers (made famous and obscenely rich with their Matrix development) and a close friend of them who they've chosen for the director's seat on this project. The film plot is about a young woman (Portman) living in a futuristic enviroment of UK in a isolated and controlled by a communist-like party, totally oppressing the people and make a rules for obedience and no freedom of speech at all...The main character V (Hugo Weaving) is a mysterious man tortured by his own demons, who fights against the rulers with all means necessary incl. terrorist acts, bombing buildings (the last explosion destroys The Parliament) and executes guards with his slicing weapons like a lightning, swift and silent...He manages to rescue Portman from some men at the same beginning and from that point on they find each other bonded by a strange kind of relationship and eventually fall in love...A strange mixture of action, drama, utopia, and dark picture presented in one piece - tightly directed and skillfully written...See it, you won't be disappointed...
Promise:wink1:
