I bought the game yesterday to check out how it is....

Have to say.. without joystick this game gets very hard (windows only allows 5 buttons to be pressed at same time on the keyboard... so you cant keep eye on enemy, make turn, put throttle up and keep your nose up at the same time.) Further graphically the game looks nice... specially the London mission... whaaah :) nice... flying with your own squadron over the roofs with enemy squadrons coming to fight you. Flying low over houses and under bridges becomes very fun. Als the special effects are good made.

The game itself concentrates on arcade fly and shoot. So you only got a few controls to control the plane and the action is pretty straight forward. Variation is there with protect/bomb/assault/picture/reconaissans missions. But further this game has to do it from the online experience. Where you can fly coop with friends in a squadron against other teams. But again... without joystick you are nowhere specially online. Myself am playing without one... somehow my own joystick seems busted after hours of playing NASCAR with a joystick instead of a steering wheel. So my plane only rolls over the left side without even touching my joystick.

But the game is fun... very funny to hear the radio chatter of the germans who are talking on the same frequency... Damned tommies...

Singleplayer tends to be a bit short with only 18 missions... of which every one takes about 10 minutes till 20 minutes.

If you want a flight game with some quick action, good looks and easy to handle. Than this game is nice to play... if you want something more serious... dont even bother this game. Probably better ones coming out somewhere in near future.

Ingame pictures (yes it looks exactly like this ingame... even with my GeForce 4 TI 128m 4400mhz. Awesome graphics output in this game)
